WOW, WHAT FUN!

Thirty-five lucky people were present for a highly informative and entertaining evening on Thursday, May 10. Drew Frech and Becky Schneider took time to share not only their knowledge of the banjo, a true American Art Form, but also their many instruments. Those beautifully crafted banjos ranged in years from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's. Questions were asked and answered and request for tunes were made and fulfilled. Be sure to make a reservation the next time they are in town!

Lidia Shares Some Excellent Reads!

Posted in

Reading is definitely an important part of my world. Since I recently read a few excellent books, let me share them with you.  My newest favorite is Embers by Sandor Marai. This is an outstanding translation from Hungarian; the language makes the reading even more enjoyable and will appeal to those who enjoy fine literature.
