The Friends of the Ontario Public Library to host their Annual Fall Used Book Sale. Sale includes used books for both adults and children and more.

  • Thursday, Oct. 23   10am-8pm
  • Friday, Oct. 24       10am-5pm  (1/2 Price Day)
  • Sat., Oct. 25          10am-noon (2 bags for $1)



Fall Wreath Fundraiser: Ontario-Walworth Garden Club Creations

In recognition of the Ontario-Walworth Garden Club's 40th Anniversary (1974) and the Library's 100th Anniversary (1914), garden club members have created and donated four beautiful seasonal wreaths for Library fundraising.  Donate $1.00 per slip and select the wreath you hope to receive.

Floyd Welker Retires: Library Trustee Vacancy Announced

  To fill a vacancy on the Ontario Public Library Board, the Board of Trustees is seeking a resident of Ontario to serve a new five-year term on the Board. Trustee Floyd Welker will retire at the end of this year.  It is our goal to have a new Trustee in place at the start of the new term.   Our first meeting of the year will be January 20, 2015.  The all-volunteer Board meets on the third Tuesday of every other month at 6:30 p.m.

Centennial Celebration Open House: November 15th

Have fun with us as we wrap up our Centennial Celebration, joining us on Saturday November 15th at this special Open House.  We have activities and social times planned for all ages. Special events include Storytelling by Jay Stetzer and live music with the Wayne Central High School Jazz Ensemble.  Mr Stetzer is well known in upstate NY as the Storyteller on Radio with "Tales in Two Minutes," and "Fables in Four Minutes."  He has also performed with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and other fine symphonic orchestras.
