As an avid reader, it’s very difficult to have a favorite book. However, I have no doubt in my mind that my favorite author is Jodi Picoult. Jodi writes heart-wrenching novels about real life issues. These issues could strike any family across the nation, oftentimes causing very difficult decisions to be made and a lawsuit to be filed. Her books are real page turners and there has yet to be a book by her that I haven’t enjoyed. My favorites include Handle With Care, Change of Heart, Perfect Match, My Sister’s Keeper, Nineteen Minutes, and Second Glance. Though there are endless authors out there that can crank out similar novels, Jodi has something that the others do not. Her novels seem to always have a huge twist at the very end that completely shocks and moves the reader. I strongly recommend any of her books to someone who wants a moving, realistic story! -Alyssa Flanagan
